Qualification:

Under the supervision of the Pathologist, Laboratory Director, or Section Leader, the Medical Technologist performs laboratory procedures to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of tissues, blood, and body fluids to aid in the diagnosis of disease processes. 3 years experience preferred.

B.S. in Sciences required; B.S in Medical Technology preferred.

MT required; MT(ASCP) preferred.

This 360-bed facility is looking for a Lab Generalist with strong Blood Bank experience, ASCP certified, and able to work in all areas on the evening shift from 3 to 11 p.m.

The MT/MLT will test on a variety of Lab tests and procedures with minimal supervision. 

Produces accurate and timely test results appropriate to specific patient age groups by accepted Laboratory Standards. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs. 

It is also necessary that the employee be able to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.

We are seeking a Medical Technologist for a long term government contract.

Will work any eight (8) hour shift; shifts are five (5) days per week with 30 minutes for lunch/dinner. Rotating weekends and shifts maybe required and hours will vary. There is no on-call duty for these positions. Minimum assignments shall be for 1 day (8 hours per position), with possible opportunities for longer assignments depending on the need of the Government.
