Qualification:
We are seeking Medical Technologists for all departments of the clinical laboratory. 

Position Summary:
Responsible for performing complex procedures for clinical diagnostic purposes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs Patient and Quality Control (QC) testing, develops skills and maintains competency in routine, “specials” and assigned laboratory areas.
Maintains proper inventories and correctly uses supplies and reagents.
Participates in quality, safety and compliance programs.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science, Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (MT/CLS).
Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in MT/CLS – 0 years; Bachelors in Bio/Chem – 3 years; MLT-4 years.
License/Certification: ASCP or equivalent certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualification:
We are seeking a Medical Technologist for the evening shift (2:30-11 pm) with every other weekend rotation. ASCP or AMT certification required.

Description: 
Performs medical laboratory tests and procedures, and analyzes in all functional sections or designated specialty area of the lab to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Reports test results, evaluates quality, troubleshoot systems and equipment. Maintains records of performance, quality control, remedial action plans, quality improvements and procedure manuals. This position will rotate between blood bank and hematology.

Qualifications:
Generalist who is a graduate of an accredited MT program with a B.S. in Medical Technology or a Medical Laboratory Technician program with an A.A.S or an A.S. in a Medical Technology Program.

ASCP (or equivalent) certification preferred. Duties include performing testing in all areas of the laboratory including, but not limited to Blood Bank and Microbiology. Phlebotomy skills are required.

Qualification:
This facility is currently looking for a night shift Medical Technologist traveler to rotate in every department in their busy laboratory department.

Qualification:
We are seeking a Florida licensed Medical Technologist to monitor the day to day technical operation of one or more sections of the clinical laboratory. Works closely with the Clinical Director and Medical Director to provide effective oversight of the section.

 

Monitors section quality control and preventive maintenance programs to ensure test accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Performs all approved laboratory procedures in assigned licensure specialties, as required to meet workload demands.

Education:
Earned Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or closely related field or equivalent education and experience as defined by State of Florida.

Experience/Skills:
Minimum 6 months laboratory experience in medical technology operations to include clinical rotation. Position requires theoretical and practical knowledge of quality control and quality assurance as they relate to Laboratory Medicine. Position requires exercise of independent judgment with minimum degree of supervision.

Work may involve testing procedures which require high degree of theoretical knowledge and technical expertise in licensed areas. Other required abilities include: entering and retrieving data from Laboratory Information System, excellent oral and written communication skills, interaction with the public and medical/nursing personnel, making decisions under pressure, handling multiple priorities, and managing stress appropriately.

Licenses/Certificates:
Holds current Florida Medical Technologist license in at least 4 of the 5 primary specialties or is eligible to obtain one. 

Must have current BLS certification prior to hire date. Must be approved by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
